Vranje, Bujanovac, Presevo – The works on the Bujanovac – Bukarevac section, which is the first of three southern sections of the trans-European Corridor 10, the length of which is 1 km, were completed 30 days ahead of schedule.

During the works, the upper and lower rails were completely replaced, five railway switches were installed, 13 railway crossings were restored, two railway stations and low railway platforms were reconstructed and contact networks and SS and TT systems were restored.

The reconstruction resulted in an increased speed of trains, which can now run up to 120 kilometers per hour.

The model of executing construction and installation works in the 36-hour stoppage of railway traffic mode was applied for the first time in Serbia, which made it possible to avoid the need to completely stop the running of trains. In addition, during the peak season from mid-June to late August, the traffic of passenger trains was carried out without interruption.

The "RZD International" Company will continue working on the reconstruction of the Vinarci – Djordjevo section, while it has been planned to complete the works on the Vranjska Spa-Ristovac section as soon as possible.

The value of construction and modernization of three southern sections of Corridor 10 is more than 38 million dollars, while it is being implemented as part of the Russian state credit.
