Bujanovac – Bujanovac elementary school “Branko Radicevic“ has become richer for 105 boys and girls since Monday, who, in the presence of their parents and teachers, have become first-graders.
In addition to the teachers, who will be passing the knowledge on to them over the next four years, a new generation of first-graders was also greeted by the new School Principal, Nenad Tasic, for whom it was practically the first day at the head of the school.
"Your playing does not stop because of the start of going to school, it just gets a different meaning and will have a learning function. We will do our best to make your days at school pleasant and relaxing, full of interesting content, friendships and results, ”said the Principal.
A roll call followed, during which the youngest elementary school students eagerly awaited to hear their names from the teacher, to stand in a column next to their first classmates and then head to the classrooms for a class.
„This year we have 105 first-graders split up in 5 mixed classes. The total number of students in the first grade is almost identical to the last year’s one, ”said School Principal Tasic.
And the first-graders “like school" and "everything is great", while, it seems, it was a little less "great" fortheir parents, who were a little nervous waiting outside the closed classroom doors for the class to end.
“Of course, I am pleased and proud, but a small amount of worry is understandable, whether everything will work out in the best possible way, since this is the beginning of something completely new for the child”, said Nenad Stevanovic, one of the parents.
