Belgrade – Zoran Djordjevic, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans' and Social Affairs, and Arne Goss, Director of the German Development Bank KfW Office in Serbia, signed amendments to the Financing Agreement, which would provide financial assistance to the municipalities in Serbia affected by the migrant crisis.

Of the 20.8 million euros in municipal financial assistance, Serbia provided 8.87 million euros and Germany11.9 million euros.
The implementation of the 25 projects, which will be funded, will start in the municipalities of Bujanovac, Beocin, Zabari, Bosilegrad, Leskovac, Dimitrovgrad, Surdulica and Sid in four months, and should be completed by June 2022.
Schools, kindergartens, social work centers, day care centers and student dormitories are planned to be renovated.
Mr. Goss said that Germany was trying not only to support Serbia on the European path, but also to help all its citizens.
The projects, he added, would help strengthen not only refugees, but also all people who had no jobs or came from underdeveloped social strata.
Minister Djordjevic and the Director of the KfW Office in Serbia also signed the text of the Special Agreement on the Financing Agreement.
The original Financing Agreement between Serbia and KfW Frankfurt was signed in November 2016.
