Medveđa – The holding of a new kind of event in Medvedja, the festival of honey, was agreed at a meeting held in the office of the Mayor of Medvedja, Nebojsa Arsic.  

The festival will be supported by the German Organization for International Cooperation GIZ, whose framework plan and scheduled activities for the implementation of the project were presented by Nevena Dimic. The meeting was, apart from members of the Mayor’s team, attended by Milka Ilic from Leskovac, Mihajlo Bozic from the HELP organization and representatives of the “Apis” beekeeping association from Medvedja.

As part of the project of the German development cooperation "Encouraging Youth Employment," which is implemented by the German Organization for International Cooperation GIZ, beekeeping association "Apis," in cooperation with the municipality of Medvedja, will organize the first “Festival of Honey” in the second week of October, which is aimed at promoting beekeeping as an employment opportunity for young people in the territory of the Jablanica district, it was said at the working meeting.
