Bujanovac – “Preparatory works on expanding the building of the "Dragomir Trajkovic"  primary school started in the school yard in the village of Zbevac,” Bora Zafirović, the School Principal, said.

“We have planned to build additional four classrooms onto the school building, so that once everything is completed, we will have a total of eight classrooms,” Mr. Zafirovic said.  

The investor is the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, while the works are financed through the loan extended by the European Investment Bank.

“The works should have started a month ago. The delay was caused by the collection of additional documents and the holiday season, "Mr. Zafirovic said.  

The contractor, the "Bankovic" company from Crna Trava, is obliged by the contract to complete building the annex to the school building in 270 working days.

Preparatory activities for the implementation of the project are being done by workers of the "Kornize" company, which is the engaged subcontractor from Bujanovac.

The building of the "Dragomir Trajkovic" elementary school in Zbevec, which was attended by around 160 students last year, was built almost three decades ago.
