It will be implemented in the area of 34 local self-governments of southeastern and southwestern Serbia, starting from Srvljig, Presevo, Medvedja and Babusnica to Kursumlija, Tutin, Priboj and Nova Varos. This program, as well as the previous one, will be financed mainly by the European Union and the Swiss government, while our country will fund it, too. The southern Serbian towns and municipalities may expect, over the next three and a half years, to get from the EU and Switzerland the grants amounting to at least 24 and a half million euros.
The new program has the same objective, which is the economic advancement of the southern parts of Serbia and their approach to the economically more developed northern Serbia.
The “European Progress” program will be conducted by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), as well as by the Serbian government. “
