The Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP), together with the Regional Partnership Funding (RPF), supports the initiatives that promote online freedom and digital protection of human rights defenders, operating in one country or region.
The Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP), together with the Regional Partnership Funding (RPF), supports the initiatives that promote online freedom and digital protection of human rights defenders, operating in one country or region.
The funding provided is up to EUR 50,000.
The support program includes the following areas:
- Provision of Internet access in cases of shutdowns, slowdowns, censorship or infrastructural damage;
- Provision of training or accompaniment on digital security, or other aspects of security and protection to the HRDs at risk;
- Provision of expert advice, digital forensic analysis, hosting or other technical services to civil society;
- Lobby and advocacy work for digital rights and Internet freedom.
The deadline for submitting project proposals is May 22, 2020.
