Medvedja –  A working meeting on the project of cross-border cooperation between Medvedja, Prokuplje, Leposavic and Skopje was held in Prokuplje. The project will be financed from EU funds, while the person in charge of running the project is our country’s famous volleyball player Vladimir Vanja Grbic.

The municipality of Medvedja was represented by Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, who said on that occasion that the project was of great importance for the young of the municipality of Medvedja and that the local self-government, headed by him, would do everything to enable its successful implementation.

Many years of Vladimir Vanja Grbic’s experience in working with children led him to start a camp for children, where he would use volleyball for all aspects of the development of children's personality. He came up with the idea of launching cross-border projects so that he could establish strong links between these regions. He wants to use volleyball in an original way with the aim of overcoming all the obstacles in communication at the national, regional and local levels, because there are no geographical boundaries in that sport, as the only boundary is the touchline.

The project would be implemented in a period of 3 years (10 months per year) and would include  monitoring the motor, psychological, functional and postulating status of the children of different ages (100 children per city). The final stage of the project would include joint camps, which would be supervised by a professional collegium.

Vanja Grbic presented the entire project in Prokuplje, as well as the methodology of working with children.
