Bujanovac – The situation caused by the corona virus in Bujanovac is suddenly deteriorating and threatening to escalate, there are children among the patients, while the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Daliborka Pavlovic, is proposing the introduction of emergency measures in the municipality.

This was said at the session of the Crisis Staff, which was scheduled due to the extremely bad epidemiological situation in the territory of the municipality of Bujanovac.

As Dr. Pavlovic said, from Thursday, November 12, until Sunday, 25 new patients were registered, while 20 test results are awaited.

“We can say that we are in an unfavorable epidemiological situation, so we propose to the Crisis Staff the introduction of emergency measures, so that the situation would not escalate", Dr. Pavlovic said.

In November, 91 COVID cases were recorded in Bujanovac, while in October there were 15 such cases.

She also said that 737 examinations were performed in the COVID infirmary in November.

As she said, there are children among the patients, while there is a "small epidemic" going on in the Health Center itself, since there are 4 more infected persons, making it a total of 30.

“We demand compliance with the measures, above all with those of maintaining the distance, wearing masks and avoiding contacts, because that is the only way to avoid even greater escalation", Dr. Pavlovic said.
