CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERTS HELD IN MEDVEDJA FOR THE FIRST TIME

Medvedja – As part of the project "Classical Music in South Serbia – Medvedja – Season 2018", which the Ministry of Culture funds with 800,000 dinars, the Cultural Center in Medvedja will organize six classical music concerts in September and October, which will be an opportunity for residents of the municipality to listen to some classical music.

Medvedja – As part of the project "Classical Music in South Serbia – Medvedja – Season 2018", which the Ministry of Culture funds with 800,000 dinars, the Cultural Center in Medvedja will organize six classical music concerts in September and October, which will be an opportunity for residents of the municipality to listen to some classical music.

The concert season will be opened and closed by the “Amarosi” chamber orchestra. The first concert of the season will be held at 7 pm on September 7, while the repertoire of the musicians from Leskovac will also include "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi, which is actually a cycle of four concerts for violin and orchestra, by which the Italian Baroque composer and violinist described the beauty of the four seasons shift by means of sound.

Nebojsa Jaksic, the Head of the Cultural Center of the municipality of Medvedja, said that five diverse concerts, accompanied by some jazz music and an exhibition of paintings of the nicest Viennese street or square – Ring Strasse, would follow.

The second concert will be held by the “Libero” singing group from Leskovac at 8 pm on  September 11, and the third one by the popular children's choir in Serbia – "The Starlets" from Leskovac.

The fourth concert will be held on October 9 by the "Trio Graziosi," which will, in addition to classical music, perform some pop music as well. The fifth concert will be given by “Ars Future” at the Cultural Center in Medvedja at 7 pm on October 16, which is a trio of accordion music players, who are academy professors that were born in Ruma, Leskovac and Mladenovac.

By the sixth concert, which will take place on October 30, the “Amoroso” string orchestra will end the season of classical music in Medvedja, but the repertoire of the concert is not yet known.

The Cultural Center in Medvedja received from the Ministry of Culture co-financing funds for another two of its two projects.
