Medvedja – On the occasion of the International Civil Society Week (ICW), representatives of  Leskovac associations gathered for the first time in one place after several years to discuss mutual co-operation within the local context, and in the presence of government representatives from Leskovac, Vlasotince and Medvedja.  

At the meeting held in the Center for Vocational Training in Education, after discussion, the idea emerged about the establishment of the Local Council of the Associations, whose role would be to establish contacts with local communities in the environment, as well as possible networking on joint projects. 

In this context, the most talked about projects were those for young people, so the coordinator of the Youth Office in Leskovac, Aleksandar Stojanovic, took over the role of the coordinator regarding the continuation of regular meetings of civil associations. 

The gathering was organized by the National Parliament from Leskovac, in partnership with the Civic Initiatives NGO from Belgrade, while this year's civil society week was marked under the slogan "The Power of Togetherness".
