Medvedja – On the occasion of the Children's Week event, which is held every first week in October, children from the “Mladost” kindergarten in Medvedja, along with their teachers, visited public institutions in Medvedja in order to familiarize themselves with how they operate.

They visited Radio Medvedja, the post office, the police station and the municipal library, where they were given gift membership cards, which will make it possible for them to borrow books from the library and enjoy reading them for a year.  The preschoolers visited the Mayor of Medvedja, too. A party was organized for them at the hall of the municipal building, where they were presented with the appropriate gifts that contained sweets. A traditional costume party is scheduled for the very end of the week, while the kids displayed their skills at masking themselves a day earlier.

Children's Week is an opportunity to exercise, through various activities, children’s rights, respect the individuality of each child and his/her need to play and be creative.  This year's event will be another opportunity to provide better conditions for exercising the right of the child to the development filled with love, understanding and respect, which can be achieved by encouraging intergenerational solidarity and cooperation.
