Bujanovac – On the occasion of the Day of the "Branko Radičević" elementary school, the major ceremony was held in the lobby of the "Vuk Karadzic" community center in Bujanovac, which was attended by children from grade one to grade to eight.
The one-hour performance was, apart from parents, watched by the directors of other schools in Bujanovac and factories, as well as by numerous friends and associates.
Gordana Zlatković, Director of the "Branko Radičević elementary school, said that that educational institution was celebrating two anniversaries that year, 170 years since the founding of the first school and 60 years since the school was named Branko Radicevic which, as she pointed out, "the school is proud of having."
“The school currently has 1,210 Serbian and Roma students, 131 employees, four satellite schools in the villages of Rakovac, Lopardince, Srpska Kuca and Karadnik, as well as a preschool room for 105 children that are divided in five groups”, Ms. Zlatković said.
