Bujanovac – Ten anti-hail rockets have, so far, been fired this season from four anti-hail stations that are currently operational in the territory of the municipality of Bujanovac. According to the Center for Emergency Situations of the municipality of Bujanovac, the aforementioned figure refers to the period until June 26, 2017.

The local self-government is considering the possibility of enabling the operation of the remaining eight anti-hail stations, which are located mainly close to the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija.

Stojanca Arsic, Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, believes that it is necessary to form a joint commission consisting of representatives of the municipality and the “Kukavica” radar center to determine the actual state of those stations, as well as to estimate the costs of making them operational once again.

People from the Center for Emergency Situations estimate that anti-hail stations in the villages of Lopardince and Samoljica could be the first to be engaged.
