LOZNICA – Secondary school students from Presevo and Bujanovac performed a multiethnic play “You and I are We” at the 39th. “Vukov sabor”. Fourteen secondary school students performed “a teenage pop show in four languages” and showed that young Serbs, Albanians and Roma can cooperate closely. Aleksandar Lazic, the producer of the play, says that a good story was made by Serbs, Albanians and Roma, who became a genuine team after having had a few rehearsals.

A parade of the event’s participants along the street of Loznica, concerts given by folklore ensembles and fine arts workshops will be organized this year, like they were organized in the past.

The Commercial Bank Belgrade allocated to Bujanovac the funds for making further investments in Bujanovac’s manufacturing and business zone.

READ MOREThe European Union shall provide from its program of support to local self-governments and public utility companies 14 million euros for the construction of shared water – supply system, which will supply water from the “Prvonek” artificial lake, which is situated near Vranjska Spa, to a wider Vranje region. That is how good drinking water will be permanently provided not only to the Vranje city region, but also to Vranjska Spa, Bujanovac and Presevo. The whole project costs thirty – four million euros, out of which the Serbian government, along with the local self – governments of Vranje, Bujanovac and Presevo, shall ensure twenty million euros.

Sasa Jankovic, the Republican Protector of Citizens, says that the reason for such a small number of complaints received from South Serbia is insufficient information of South Serbia’s citizens and South Serbia’s citizens’ remoteness from the Republican institutions, and not their life without problems. He also pointed out that it was, therefore, necessary to improve contacts between the citizens and the government.
