The heroin was discovered thanks to a joint activity of the customs and the police. It was placed in the jeep’s spare wheel. The event took place at the entrance from Macedonia to Serbia, while the jeep’s driver was a Turkish national.
The drugs were discovered by the use of a mobile scanner, which is at the customs’ disposal. Following the jeeps’ examination, the mobile scanner devise showed that the jeep’s wheel was filled with a great deal of small parcels.
The total quantity of discovered heroin was 21 kilograms and 152 grams, which was packed in 39 parcels; it was said in the statement.
