    Vranje – This year's harvest of corn, which was this spring sown in an area of ​​10.500 acres, began in some municipalities of Pcinj district.  The Agricultural Advisory Office of Pcinj district says that good weather in recent days reduced the percentage of moisture in the soil, so that the pickers entered the fields with any problems, while the harvest takes place without interruption.

    Following the newly established associations in Novi Pazar, Zajecar and Subotica, Pcinj district got its own Business Women's Association, which was supported by the U.S. Embassy in Serbia, too.

    The newly established Association will include female entrepreneurs from several municipalities in South Serbia, whereas the initiative, in addition to encouraging women to become entrepreneurs, strives towards providing opportunities for self-employment and economic empowerment of women in Pcinj district.

    Bujanovac – The new Head of the OSCE office in Bujanovac is the American Jeffrey Bieley, who recently took office and who replaced Eric Manton, who was also an American, and whose mandate ended on July 31, 2014.  

    According to the OSCE Office in Bujanovac, Jeffrey Bieley had previously worked in the UN Office in Kosovo and Metohija, and he, thereafter, obtained an MA degree in international relations from Harvard University in 2013.   

    Mr. Bieley is the fifth Head of the OSCE Office in Bujanovac, which was founded in 2001.

    The said Office was previously headed by the Italian Roberto Montella, Briton Martin Brooks, Dutchman Jeroen De Vries and American Eric Manton.

    Ljubisa Nikolic, a resident of the village Oraovica, who was, following a traffic accident, shot on Wednesday in the village Ranutovac, near Vranje, by Srdjan Aleksic from Zitoradja, was a prominent and well-known businessman.

    Mr. Nikolic was the owner of the “ITP” clothing factory in the village of Oraovica. His company became known to the public when he began producing flags for the FC Bayern from Munich.
