The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands issued two calls for applications for which civil society organizations from the Republic of Serbia can apply. Project proposals can be sent throughout the year, or until December 31, 2019.

The Human Rights Fund is an instrument through which the Embassy supports the activities of local civil society organizations dealing with the protection and promotion of human rights. Projects that contribute to the implementation of human rights committed by the state, or a dialogue on human rights in the country, are supported. When allocating funds, special attention is paid to the seriousness of the situation in the field of human rights in relation to the human rights priorities of the Netherlands, as well as to the effectiveness of the proposed activities.

MATRA is the Regional Partnership Fund of the Netherlands – there are several instruments within this program, each of which aims to improve the relationship between governments and citizens in different ways, within the framework of four main themes: 1) support for democratic development, 2) civil society organizations, 3) promotion of the rule of law and 4) reliable institutions.

The MATRA program provides direct support to local civil society organizations' projects to promote constructive dialogue between governments and civil society through small projects based on the needs of the local community. The main areas of support include the legal framework and justice, as well as good governance (public administration, public order and police).
