The EXIT Foundation, in cooperation with the NIS company, and with the support of the Radio and Television of Serbia and the Ringier Axel Springer company, has launched the Youth Heroes competition this year, too, for the purpose of selecting positive models in society. The desire of the launchers of the competition is to point out that hard work, persistence, curiosity, humanity, courage and creativity pay off. For the fourth year in a row, EXIT and NIS have been choosing a new generation of young heroes and heroines from Serbia in four areas: education and science, entrepreneurship and creative industries, social activism and culture and art.

The competition will be open until August 20, while the titles "Youth Heroes" will be announced in September this year.

A special "Youth Heroes" prize will, this year, be awarded in cooperation with the Youth Alliance of the Association of Youth Capitals of Europe – Novi Sad 2019.

"Youth Heroes" is a long-term joint campaign aimed at improving the conditions for the staying of young talents in Serbia.  Young heroes and heroines are the only ones that can be the real drivers of change in society and of motivation. Great achievements, such as medals won at international scientific competitions, devising activities in their local communities, creating top art works and launching successful companies, deserve to be rewarded and promoted as a result of exceptional commitments and efforts.

All young people with Serbian citizenship or residence in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, who are aged from 15 to 30 and who have special achievements, awards and recognitions in the fields of education/science, entrepreneurship and creative industries, social activism, culture /art, have the right to apply for the competition.

The application form is available on www.youth-heroes.org , while applications, along with the filled in application form, should be e-mailed to exitfoundation@exitfest.org  by August 20, 2019. Young heroes can be nominated by organizations, institutions, media and interested individuals, or they can apply themselves.
