The Open Society Foundation, Serbia issued a call for submitting projects under the Transparency and Public Sector Responsibility Program.

Projects that may be submitted are those that:

• Contribute to the fight against corruption in the public sector;

• Include new players in the management and oversight of public finances; 

• Contribute to the preservation of the reached level of the right to access information of public importance and its promotion;

•  Improve the awareness, knowledge and practice of personal data protection, especially in the digital environment.

Projects can be submitted by civil society organizations (citizen associations, professional associations, chambers, user associations, etc.), universities, institutes, trade unions, media, state and local authorities. 

Specially evaluated will be the projects based on cooperation and engagement of various players in achieving the goals of the competition.

The projects can be submitted by individual legal entities or by several legal entities together.  The Foundation supports the projects that are implemented in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. 

The Foundation will give priority to the projects that use creative and innovative work methodologies (new activism), have a developed communication strategy, are directed towards the citizens and encourage their participation in achieving the goals of the project.

The application deadline is May 19. 2019.
