CALL FOR THE PARTICIPAATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN THE PROJECT “TOGETHER TOWARDS SECONDARY SCHOOL – SUPPORT TO CHILDREN FROM VULNERABLE GROUPS WITH MOVING ON TO SECONDARY SCHOOL” (DEADLINE: 24.03.3017)

The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation and the Centre for Education Policy implement the project "Together Towards Secondary School – Support to Children from Vulnerable Groups with Moving On to Secondary School."

The project aims to contribute to increasing the number of students from vulnerable groups who continue their education at the secondary school level by strengthening primary schools to provide a supportive learning environment and implement concrete projects designed for the activities that encourage and motivate students from vulnerable groups to enroll in secondary school.

The project "Together Towards Secondary School" will be implemented in 10 selected primary schools, which are located in the municipalities/cities listed in the call. The Municipalities/cities were selected based on the criteria for the identification of the municipalities in which there is an increased need for intervention aimed at increasing the transition of students to secondary schools.

The project runs from January 2017 to December 2019, and will include the academic years  2017/2018 and 2018/2019. Specific activities and intensive work with schools are planned in the second half of April 2017.

By applying to this call, schools get the opportunity to be selected for the participation in the project, and thus to strengthen the capacity to provide support to students from vulnerable groups for enrollment in secondary school, through participation in accredited courses and training that were developed within the project. In addition, the selected schools will receive grants in the amount of 3,600 EUR in dinar equivalent, for the implementation of project activities.

Eligible to apply are all primary schools founded by the Republic of Serbia, autonomous province or local self-governmental unit from the following municipalities/cities:

Aleksinac, Alibunar, Bela Crkva, Bečej, Bogatić, Bor, Bujanovac, Varvarin, Veliko Gradiste, Velika Plana, Vladicin Han, Vladimirci, Vlasotince, the City of Niš, Despotovac, Doljevac, Žabalj, Zitiste, Žitorađa, Kladovo, Knjaževac, Kovačica, Krupanj , Kuršumlija, Lebane, Leskovac, Negotin, Novi Sad, Novi Pazar, Paracin, Petrovac, Preševo, Prokuplje, Svilajnac, Srbobran, Surdulica, Tutin, Ćuprija, Ub.
