The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs issued a call for the funding or co-funding of programs that support the implementation of project activities aimed at developing and strengthening the social and health support for the elderly, resulting in:

– Improved understanding of the needs of the older part of the population and assessed  possibilities for improving the aging-related activities,   

– Comparison of the City of Belgrade with similar European cities on the basis of the obtained results and indicators,

– Defined benefits of the existing policies towards the elderly, perceived weaknesses and recommendations for promoting active aging,

– Identified and promoted new social values by ​​formulating public policies for active aging.

Funds for financing or participating in financing the programs that are aimed at improving the social protection system in the Republic of Serbia in 2018 were earmarked in a total amount not exceeding 9,480,000.00 dinars. This was done in accordance with the Law on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2018.

The  applicants must meet the following requirements:

•  Be registered as citizens' associations based in the Republic of Serbia;

• That they have meet the previous obligations under the contracts with the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs on time and in full;

 • That they have the appropriate capacity to implement the program.

Project proposals are to be submitted by August 10, 2018.
