Wikimedia Serbia has issued a call for the implementation and financing of volunteer projects in the field of education, cooperation with cultural institutions and volunteering.

The call runs until August 10, 2020 and is open to all individuals, representatives of organizations and cultural and educational institutions.

Areas of the call within which you can apply:

• Education – within this topic, we are working on establishing cooperation with schools and faculties regarding the implementation of educational projects of Wikimedia Serbia in the aforementioned institutions.

• Cooperation with cultural institutions and institutions of public importance (GLAM institutions) – within this topic, it is necessary to achieve two-way cooperation with the aforementioned institutions. This may mean digitization and release of materials that the institution has or some other type of cooperation.

• Encouraging volunteering is a topic that is constantly current in Wikimedia Serbia, bearing in mind that the association is primarily of a volunteer orientation.

• Activating Wikipedia's sister projects, including Wiktdictionary, Wikiquotes, Wikisource, Wikibooks and the like.

• Increasing diversity within projects – This means increasing the representation of women editors on projects, increasing the number of texts on women and other gender categories, as well as those on vulnerable groups in society, such as the LGBT + population, people with disabilities or marginalized groups and national minorities.

Project proposals can be submitted by all interested individuals, representatives of associations and volunteers whose goals coincide with the goals of Wikimedia Serbia. You need to download the form, fill it in and e-mail it to kancelarija@vikimedija.org.

Project applicants may submit more than one proposal. Please note that projects will be supported in the amounts ranging from 100 to 5, 000 euros. Preference will be given to innovative projects with original and fresh ideas, as well as to those with well-explained budgets.
