A call for the European Press Prize has been issued, which will run until December 13, 2019. 

Journalists from 47 countries of the Council of Europe are eligible to participate in the call, while the winners of the call will get a cash prize of 10,000 euros.

Organizers of the call stated in the rules of the call that texts could be submitted for the following categories:

– Investigative Journalism Prize – for discovering and publishing facts and disclosing news concealed to the public;

– Outstanding Reporting Prize – for the story presented in the best way possible;

– Opinion Prize – for the texts that contain an exceptional interpretation of the world we live in;    

– Innovation Prize – for breaking the boundaries of journalism and finding new ways to communicate with the public.

The texts for the call should be in the languages in which they were originally published, up to 5000 words long, including a short English summary, which should be up to 200 words long.
