The “Creative Mentoring” organization has launched a call for participants in the youth cultural cooperation program from Serbia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a youth cultural cooperation program implemented under the project "Transforming the Region One Conversation at a Time – Inspired by Youth Cultural Cooperation" and supported through the second RYCO open call for proposals, co-financed by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund and organized in the cooperation of three organizations: Creative Mentoring from Serbia, OKC "Abrašević" from Bosnia and Herzegovina and "RRuga me Pisha" from Albania.

The focus of the project is on establishing dialogue, cultural exchange and cooperation among young cultural and media workers from Serbia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the project is to create a base for a future cultural network of young people who are socially and politically aware, educated and open-minded.

Partners are looking for 30 young people (from 20 to 30 years old) – 10 from Serbia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina each, who are active in the fields of culture, media and the arts. Program participants will have the opportunity to learn through working with mentors, as well as from each other.

For six months (February – July 2020), teams of three (each team will have one person from Serbia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina each) will participate in pilot initiatives, with the support of mentors (artists and cultural professionals with years of experience in promoting and establishing regional cooperation, reconciliation processes in the region or anti-war activities).

The aim of the project is to introduce, through the mentoring process and peer knowledge, the relevant initiatives that existed in the past and that could inspire, inform and encourage them to become more involved in cultural activism, overcome prejudices and stereotypes about others in the region and contribute to the creation of a network of young, socially active and aware citizens.

Signing up is done by sending an e-mail with a short CV and a motivation letter about the reasons for participating in the project.

Interested persons from Serbia should send an email to: info@kreativnomentorstvo.comkreativnomentorstvo@gmail.com. The deadline for applications is February 14 by midnight.

Details about the call are available on the Creative Mentoring organization’s website   https://www.kreativnomentorstvo.com/open-call-for-participants-in-youth-cultural-cooperation-program-serbia-albania-and-bosnia-and-herzegovina/
