Bujanovac – The rehabilitation hospital in Bujanovac Spa has been included in the COVID system since Monday, confirmed the Director of that institution, Goran Nedeljkovic.

According to him, the Spa is intended for the hospitalization of corona virus patients  from Bujanovac and Presevo who have a milder clinical picture.

Mr. Nedeljkovic points out that in anticipation of the first patients in the Spa, preparations are being made for the functioning according to the rules, especially the purchase of the lacking equipment.  

“When it comes to the equipment, we need everything. We are asking the state and the donors for it. We have a mobile respirator that requires a small intervention to be functional. We need oxygen bottles, which we must urgently get," Mr. Nedeljkovic said.

For the time being, there are no plans to hire medical staff from other health institutions, because it is estimated that the three doctors employed in the Spa are sufficient for the start, with the spa staff having the help of their colleagues from the emergency rooms of health centers in Bujanovac and Presevo, who will take turns during night shifts.

In the worst case scenario, Bujanovac Spa could receive up to 150 patients.
