Bujanovac – The “Megal” factory of boilers for central heating from Bujanovac is to hire new workers thanks to having concluded a business deal with the "Eco-Spar" company from Ohrid, which is worth around 600,000 euros.
"We have hired seven new employees who will be trained for welding jobs. We hired 13 employees last year, too. This year, our exports, only those for the inhabitants of Ohrid, will increase by 50 percent, which means around 1,200 to 1,400 boilers. Over the last five to six years, we produced an average of 1,100 boilers, whereas we produced 2,361 boilers last year, "said Dragoljub Kostic, the Director of the “Megal” factory.
He also said that the factory produced boilers in accordance with the “Eco Spar’s” sample boiler, that non-working Saturdays had turned into working days, and that they were thinking of introducing the second shift.
“The fact that we are hiring new workers means that we need those people not only for this year, but also for the next year and even for the following one. "Megal" has a nice perspective and a clear vision of the future, "Dragoljub Kostic, the Director of “Megal”, said.
According to him, the physical and financial scope of production increased by two and a half times. The company also has streamlined production lines, such as new boilers that used pellet for fuel.
„We have made around 800 furnaces for the boilers produced by "Alpha" from Vranje. We currently have no boilers in stock. We are also trying to at least double our present daily output of 12 boilers. All this is done by 135 workers, of whom 92 per cent are engaged in production and earn an average of 32,000 dinars per month. That is a small salary, but the one that is regularly paid, "Mr. Kostic said.
