“BRANKO RADICEVIC” ELEMENTARY SCHOOL READILY AWAITS THE MOCK FINAL EXAM

Bujanovac – All 97 eight-graders of the “Branko Radicevic” elementary school in Bujanovac, who have been attending classes since the beginning of the school year, have the technical conditions for taking an online mock final exam, which began on Wednesday with a test in mother tongue.

Bujanovac – All 97 eight-graders of the “Branko Radicevic” elementary school in Bujanovac, who have been attending classes since the beginning of the school year, have the technical conditions for taking an online mock final exam, which began on Wednesday with a test in mother tongue.

According to Nenad Tasic, the school principal, the problems that were primarily related to technical capabilities, such as computers, tablets, telephones, the Internet, which a small number of students seemed to have, were overcome by engaging class teachers and teaching assistants.

“There were a few students who needed the help of the school.  Some of them were unavailable from the time the state of emergency was proclaimed, while very few of them did not have the necessary devices or an Internet connection. I can say that we have solved all the problems, so that we could send to the line ministry a report that all 97 regular eighth-graders had the technical devices, the Internet connection and were logged into the “My Classroom” platform, where the final mock exam would be done”, Mr. Tasic said.

He pointed out that class teachers were in constant communication with the students, that they had forwarded to the students everything they needed to work on the platform and that they would continue to constantly communicate with the students, so that any possible obstacles could be eliminated immediately.

The mock final exam for eight-graders began at 8 am on Wednesday with the Serbian language test, while the eight-graders will be able to  sign up for doing the test by 8pm.

The test in mother tongue will take 60 minutes from the time the student logs into the “My Classroom” platform.

The math test is on Thursday, while the combined test takes place a day later.

There will be 20 assignments in each of the three tests. The Serbian and the combined test will take an hour each, while the math test will take 90 minutes.

Students in Serbia will not return to school desks this school year, while the holidays for most students will begin at the end of May, when regular or online classes will end.
