Bujanovac – On the occasion of the World Day of Blood Donors, the Red Cross Branch Office in Bujanovac organized a blood donation and promotion campaign for members of Club 25, who are young blood donors aged from 18 to 25.

“The response was satisfactory, like all the activities undertaken in Bujanovac. There were 34 persons who donated blood, two blood donors who were rejected, as well as three persons who donated the life-saving liquid for the first time. This is the fourth blood donation campaign in a row, while six more of them will be launched by the end of the year, "said Sladjan Stojanovic, MD, from the Blood Transfusion Institute in Nis.

Upon completion of the campaign, the awarding of acknowledgments to those who voluntarily donated blood on numerous occasions, the organizations whose members made up the majority of blood donors and those that previously contributed to the promotion, spreading and organization of blood donation campaigns was organized. 

“Within the Red Cross Branch Office in Bujanovac operates its Club 25 youth unit, whose task is to motivate new blood donors, those who have just become adults legally. I hope that Bujanovac will quickly reach a quota that applies to global standards, "said Bratislav Lazarevic, the Secretary of the Bujanovac Red Cross Branch Office. 

One of the award winners, who donated blood one hundred times, is Stojanca Nikolic.

“I have accomplished my aim and I am pleased about that. I gave about 35 liters of blood and I'm glad that I could help someone, "Mr. Nikolic said.
