Bujanovac – Yesterday, 87 freshmen started four-year studies at the Subotica Faculty of Economics’ Department in Bujanovac.

On that occasion, a small ceremony was organized at the university, which was, apart from the freshmen, attended by Saip Kamberi, the Mayor of Bujanovac, Stojanca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, Lamberto Zannier, the OSCE’s High Commissioner on National Minorities, representatives of the Coordination Body for the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and Aleksandar Grubor, the Dean of the Faculty.  

"Around 600 students are now being educated at the Bujanovac-based department, which started operating six years ago, while 79 students successfully completed the four-year studies at the faculty.  Our 87 youngest new colleagues are yet another indicator that we are on the right track. I wish you a lot of good luck and success with your further education, while our doors will always be open to you, "Dean Grubor said.

“Your education is an investment in the future, not just in your own one, but also in the future of the entire area and the communities that live here," said High Commissioner Zannier in his address to the freshmen. He also praised the work of the faculty, noting that it operated faultlessly in the area where there were numerous problems.

First-year students will be educated at the new study course called accounting and auditing.at the expense of the state budget. As in the previous years, the instruction in the Albanian language  has been provided.
