Bujanovac – The second international seminar on beekeeping entitled "The Bee Knows No Borders", which was attended by around 350 beekeepers from the Pcinj district, Northern Macedonia and the Morava River Region from Kosovo, was held in Bujanovac.
Bujanovac – The second international seminar on beekeeping entitled "The Bee Knows No Borders", which was attended by around 350 beekeepers from the Pcinj district, Northern Macedonia and the Morava River Region from Kosovo, was held in Bujanovac.
The meeting was opened by Vlastimir Spasic, the President of the Association of Beekeeping Organizations of Southeast Serbia.
Kazimir Matovic, PhD, from Kraljevo, and Goran Jevtic, PhD, from Krusevac, talked at the seminar about bee diseases, the most recent deaths of bees and bee pastures.
Prior to the start of the lecture, Zarije Mitic and Seljami Hiseni, the Presidents of Bujanovac Beekeeper Associations "Polen 2012" and "Apikula", presented letters of thanks to the most deserving individuals and institutions.
The attendees of the lecture visited the exhibition of beekeeping equipment that had been displayed in the lobby of the Bujanovac "Vuk Karadzic" community center.
Apart from the exhibitors from Bujanovac, honey producers from Vranje, Leskovac, Krusevac and Trstenik had their stands at the exhibition, too.
Sponsors of the event included the Bujanovac veterinary station, the municipality of Bujanovac and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
