We would like to inform you that the BACID Fund has opened the Second Call (second cycle) for the submission of project proposals.

The BACID Fund is designed as a grant scheme that provides funding for knowledge transfer activities conducted by the Austrian institutions and experts for the benefit of partners from the region, including partners from the Republic of Serbia. The BACID Fund was established on the basis of the experience of the Knowledge Transfer Center (KTC – Know-How Transfer Center), established in 1992 within the Austrian Association of Cities, to facilitate administrative cooperation between cities and municipalities in the new democracies of Central and Eastern Europe with the Austrian colleagues.

The BACID Fund targets smaller activities to provide professional assistance to public administrations and civil society organizations, as well as to universities, media and businesses on topics related to European integration and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at regional and local level.

The general theme is the contribution to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which have been integrated into the latest EU policies, as a framework for the long-term transformation of the Western Balkan countries.

The activities must be linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, with priority being given to Objective 11 (to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable). For the sake of clarity during the evaluation process, it should be indicated which of the three topics the activity most contributes to:

• Economic and social development
• Environmental Protection
• Strong institutions and partnerships

The deadline for submitting project proposals is September 9, 2019.
