The NALED and the Career and Youth Entrepreneurship Development Organization “Connecting”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Institute for the Advancement of Education and the Republican Secretariat for Public Policy, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), issued a call for the selection of the best examples of distance learning called "Magic is in the Teachers' Hands".

The new circumstances and changes that are happening encourage us to constantly adjust to them and to constantly learn. As part of the educational process that operated in the classrooms moved into the e-space overnight, the challenge of adjusting to it is a large one, but it also opens up a huge opportunity for creativity and new ideas.

Bearing in mind that the demonstrated innovativeness in teaching under changed conditions deserves widespread social recognition, all teachers and professional assistants in public or private primary and secondary schools, who have played a leading role in designing and implementing the specific forms of distance learning over the previous year,  are invited to participate in the call by filling in the online form on jpd.rs/konkurs  and submitting a short presentation by May 31, 2020 at the latest.

The jury will select at least three of the best examples of distance learning that will be awarded on the basis of predefined criteria, with the possibility of additional awards. A special audience award will be given based on an online audience vote at jpd.rs/online-nastava.

The first award is a study trip to Finland/Estonia and a laptop, while other awards include a laptop, a tablet, a smart phone and vouchers for buying e-books from the Laguna/ Delfi publishers. All prominent examples will be included in a single public database of best distance learning practices.
