Belgrade – As part of the project, Assistance for Trade – Support for Strengthening the Production Capacities of the Agro-Industrial Sector in the Republic of Serbia, funded by the Government of the Russian Federation and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the ENECA association announced a competition for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMSE) engaged in the agribusiness and food sectors.
The aim of the project is to empower the supported businesses through business expansion and growth, the improvement of competitiveness and market positioning, diversification of the existing product range based on market needs, the creation of added value, the certification process and export promotion.
10 agro-industrial businesses will be selected in the competition, primarily those in the sector of the processing of fruits, vegetables, berries, milk and meat, which will take part in the activities adjusted to the individual needs of each beneficiary.
The selected beneficiaries will be supported in the form of business training, mentoring, participation in a selected regional fair of food and drinks, promotional and sales activities, while certification (HACCP, ISO 22000 , ISO 14001, etc.) will be provided to the five businesses that have the greatest potential to access new markets.
At least five selected companies will have the opportunity to participate in the activities aimed at the promotion of exports and access to new markets, including business meetings with Russian firms, which will be organized in the Russian Federation.
