Responding to the pleas of residents of Medvedja, Bratislav Gasic, Defense Minister, ordered another engagement of the Serbian Army in putting up a pontoon bridge and in rehabilitation of the existing one in that place.
The Army of Serbia’s engineers are already in Medvedja and are examining the condition of the bridge in Medvedja that had become unsafe for traffic.
Members of the Army of Serbia are still engaged in eliminating the consequences floods, which affected the Republic of Serbia earlier this year.
Over 50 members of the Army of Serbia with more than ten engineering machines and 12 heavy mechanized bridges, which allow normalization of life and work in several villages and municipalities in Serbia, are currently engaged on four different locations.
