Bujar Nedzipi (52), a driver of the "Mimoza" company from Presevo, who drives a bus between Presevo and Bern, Presevo and Stuttgart and Skopje and Brussels, donated to the Association of Paraplegics in Vranje an electric wheelchair, which is very hard to get because it costs about 245,000 dinars. According to the regular procedure, disabled people wait for it for eight years.

Srdjan Trajkovic (43), the President of the Association of Paraplegics, says that at one point he saw a man who needed help at his workplace at the Service Center. The person at issue was an Albanian who couldn’t find his way at the Service Center and who came there to get a certificate of citizenship.

Mr. Trajkovic, who is bound to a wheelchair, wheeled himself from counter to counter, picked up the forms, filled them in, photocopied them and finally handed them over at a counter.  After fifteen minutes, a certificate of citizenship was issued to Mr. Nedzipi.   While he was holding it in his hands, he looked at it, not believing that he finished the job so quickly.  He then asked Mr. Trajkovic for his home phone number, after which the two men parted.

After seven days, Mr. Trajkovic’s phone started ringing. It was Mr. Nedzipi, who informed him that he was returning from a trip to Switzerland and that he had a small gift for him. He asked him to meet him in Vranje in three hours. When they met, Mr. Nadzipi gave him a new wheelchair for the transportation of handicapped persons.

“My gesture is just my response to the human gesture of my unknown friend in a wheelchair.  The gift is a part of me, part of my heart and soul and my family upbringing, "said Mr. Nedzipi.
