Medvedja, Belgrade – An agreement on the implementation of the new project called "You are your own Web Master," was officially signed on the premises of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, which the said Ministry approved to the Youth Office of the municipality of Medvedja.
The project envisages the establishment of the Youth Info Center, which will be used by the Serbs, Albanians and Roma, with the aim of improving information and increasing computer literacy of young people in that multiethnic municipality.
"Unlike many developed cities and municipalities, there is no Youth Info Center in Medvedja, and the lack of it has a significant impact on the level of youth information and on their participation in society, as young people are often informed by electronic media. Medvedja is a municipality that has a lot of young people, but because of the lack of the facilities that their counterparts have in large cities, it is necessary to provide a place where they will meet, "said Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, who signed the agreement.
The value of the project is 700,000 dinars, and as part of it, the premises that young people will be able to later use for these or similar activities will be fitted out.
In the coming period, the Youth Office of the municipality of Medvedja will organize several trainings, which will be provided through workshops.
