AGREEMENT ON SPECIAL-PURPOSE TRANSFERS IN THE SPHERE OF SOCIAL PROTECTION SIGNED

Medvedja – Nenad Neric, State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, signed an agreement on special-purpose transfers in the field of social protection with representative of the local self-government of the municipality of Medvedja.

The total allocated funds by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs for local self-governments in Serbia amount to 756 million dinars, while the priority was given to the municipalities/cities that have a lower level of development. Given that the municipality of Medvedja belongs to the fourth group of development, the special-purpose transfers were granted regardless of the participation in the financing of social protection services by the municipality of Medvedja.

The municipality of Medvedja has been allocated the amount of 1,485,181.59 dinars per year, for the improvement of the existing and the development of new social protection services on the basis of the Decree on Special-Purpose Transfers in the Social Protection Field.

On behalf of the municipality of Medvedja, the agreement was signed by the Mayor of Medvedja, Nebojsa Arsic.

Services within the competencies of the local self-governmental units that will be financed by funds from special-purpose transfers include daily community services, shelter accommodation services, personal escort services for children with disabilities, personal assistance services available to adults with disabilities, counseling-therapeutic and social-educational services, as well as other social protection services.
