Vranje, Presevo, Bujanovac – According to the results of the Institute of Public Health in Vranje, the corona virus was confirmed in as many as 121 inhabitants of the Pcinj district over the past 24 hours.

In terms of the number of newly infected persons, Vranje leads with as many as 521 new cases.

It is followed by Surdulica with 27 newly confirmed cases, Bujanovac with 21 and Presevo with 12. Somewhat fewer infected persons are in Vladicin Han, where five new cases have been registered, three in Bosilegrad and two in Trgoviste.

50 patients were hospitalized at the COVID Hospital in Vranje, of whom 44 were positive for the corona virus. There are 49 patients with bronchopneumonia, while 28 of them are receiving oxygen treatment. Four patients were discharged. The current number of available beds is 130.

One beneficiary of the Old People’s Home in Surdulica had passed away, it was confirmed by the Surdulica's COVID Hospital.

According to the latest data from the Vranje Institute for Public Health, 9 employees and 16 beneficiaries of the Old People’s Home in Surdulica have fallen ill so far. As for the COVID hospital in Surdulica, 23 patients are currently hospitalized, 21 have been diagnosed with the corona virus, while testing results are expected for two of them. Six patients were admitted for treatment over the past 24 hours. The hospital capacities at that hospital are almost full, since there are currently only nine available beds.
