Medvedja – The organization of sport fishermen "Gornja Jablanica" from Medvedja and the Tourist Organization of Medvedja are organizing the traditional, seventh in a row, competition "Golden Pot of the Geyser", which will be held in Sijarinska Spa on August 27.  

The event starts at 8 am at the lake in Medvedja with a competition in sport fishing for members of the Organization of Sport Fishermen "Gornja Jablanica" from Medvedja. The competition will be held for the following categories of competitors: young pioneers, pioneers, juniors, cadets, youth, seniors, veterans and people with disabilities and war veterans.

A competition in preparing fish soup will take place on the Banska River quay, in front of the "Geyser" Hotel in Sijarinska Spa, from 12 o’clock noon to 2 pm. Teams wishing to participate in the competition, which can have no more than two members, can sign up for the event by contacting the Organization of Sport Fishermen "Gornja Jablanica" from Medvedja on 064 397-9255, as well as at the "Geyser" Hotel in Sijarinska Spa on 060588-0440. The signing up lasts until 11 am on August 27.  The organizers will provide each team with their spot on the quay, beech wood for the pot and the required amount of fish, while the registered teams are obliged to bring their pots for preparing fish broth, as well as the spices they believe they need.

A cultural program will be performed in front of the "Sneznik" restaurant from 2 pm to 3 pm, when the winner of the seventh in a row “Golden Pot of the Geyser” competition will become known, as well as the winners in the competition in sport fishing.  

Following the official announcement of the winners, lunch will be organized for all competitors and sponsors, as well as a free tasting of the fish soup for all visitors of the event.
