Medvedja – The theater team of the municipality of Krupanj, headed by Mayor Ivan Isailovic, in cooperation with the municipality of Medvedja, gave the “Zvrcak” play as a gift to the residents of Medvedja. 

Mayor Isailovic expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and said that the municipalities of Krupanj and Medvedja would work on becoming twinned cities, while, for the beginning, he proposed socializing by means of a friendly basketball match played by the basketball teams of the two municipalities.

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, welcomed the audience that came to watch the last play in the old year. 

"Since we perceived the needs of our residents, as well as the unenviable financial situation they are in, we decided to cancel the organized seeing of the New Year in the square this year. This decision was mainly made because of the children with special needs, socially vulnerable persons and everyone else. That is why we committed the funds earmarked in the budget for New Year's Eve to all our citizens. There is no week that a cultural event, which could be organized by the Tourist Organization of Medvedja, or which could be a play or cultural and traditional gathering, is not organized at the community center, "Mayor Arsic said.

Directed by Ivan Bekjarev, the renowned actor, the "Zvrcak" comedy was performed in in the great hall of the community center in Medvedja. The acting tandem, which included Branko Jankovic and Zarko Stepanov, made the crowded hall of the Cultural Center laugh to tears. Admission was free.
