Мedvedja – The latest unemployment statistics show that there were 1,556 unemployed persons registered in the municipality of Medvedja in November 2017, while 214 people registered with the National Employment Office were employed in the period from January 1 to November 30.
Мedvedja – The latest unemployment statistics show that there were 1,556 unemployed persons registered in the municipality of Medvedja in November 2017, while 214 people registered with the National Employment Office were employed in the period from January 1 to November 30.
Of the total number of unemployed in Medvedja, 788 were women, or slightly more than half of the unemployed, while seven persons were with disabilities, including four women. The employment of members of the Roma that are registered with the National Employment Office was not registered last year, while four people from the category of persons with disabilities, who were registered with the National Employment Office, were employed.
In terms of professional qualifications, half of the unemployed, or 771 persons, have only the first degree of education, which means that they have not completed or have only completed primary school, while the other half, or more than 700 people, are persons with the third and fourth degree of education.
There are a total of 30 unemployed persons in Medvedja with the seventh degree of professional qualifications or those who have acquired basic university education.
The largest number of unemployed residents Medvedja is from 50 to 54 years old, while the smallest number of them, or only 30, is from 15 to 19 years old.
Most of the employees, as many as 104, have the first or second degree of professional qualifications.
Of the programs and measures funded by the National Employment Office, 35 people were hired through the public works projects in the area of Medvedja in 2017.
One of the public works projects is a project of the Health Center, within which four people with disabilities were engaged.
Last year, three types of public works were carried out, including one related to the Local Employment Action Plan, which was co-financed from the municipal budget and the budget of the Republic of Serbia, with one million dinars each.
One person from the municipality of Medvedja was included in the internship and self-employment program, while only one employer in the area used the subsidy for hiring two people from the category of hard to employ persons.
