Medvedja, Nis – The 19th Fair of Tourism and Active Rest was, in the presence of many visitors and invitees, opened at the Nis-based Cair hall. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, the Head of Nis Administrative District and the Mayor of Nis, as well as by representatives of more than 130 tourist organizations, agencies and tour operators from Serbia, Republika Srpska, Montenegro, Greece and Bulgaria. 

Apart from the active holiday as the theme of the fair, the emphasis was, this year, placed on gastronomic and wine offers, which primarily relate to the presentation and tasting of the exhibitors’ typical local cuisines. 

The tourist offer of the municipality of Medvedja was presented at the said fair by Ljubisa Ristic, the Director of the Tourist Organization of Medvedja, Milos Filipovic, a tourism officer, Milan Stevanovic, a marketing officer at the Tourist Organization of Medvedja, Nadica Popovic, an employee of the Tourist Information Center in Sijarinska Spa and Milan Radosavljevic, who is   responsible for catering at the “Geyser” special rehabilitation hospital in Sijarinska Spa.
