STAY OF BUJANOVAC STUDENTS AT THE PESTALOZZI CHILDREN’S VILLAGE IN SWITZERLAND – PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Bujanovac – As part of the project "Our City, Our Schools," which is implemented by the Coordination Body’s Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, along with the partner organization “Group 484,” as well as with the support of the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation, a group of 40 or so students set off, today, on a trip to Trogen, which is the Children's Village in Switzerland.

In the period from April 8 to May 24, the students of six schools in the municipality of Bujanovac, together with their peers from Switzerland, will have the opportunity to take part in the program of intercultural exchange and to actively participate in educational workshops.  

The topics to be discussed are related to intercultural education, the understanding of diversity and the rights of the child. The discussions will be held in accordance with the UNESCO’s goals of education: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together with others and learning to become a developed personality.

The schools from which students who will be staying in Switzerland are as follows:

  1. Secondary Vocational School “Sezai Suroi”, Bujanovac

  2. Secondary Vocational School   “Saint Sava”, Bujanovac 

  3. Elementary School “Naim Fraseri,” Bujanovac

  4. Elementary School “Branko Radicevic,” Bujanovac

  5. Elementary School  “Ali Bektasi”, the village of Nesalce

  6. Elementary School “Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic,” the village of Levosoje
