In the “Plant a Tree” campaign, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management – the Directorate for Forests annually allocates funds to finance the planting of new forests, as well as the rehabilitation and amelioration of the existing ones.

For these purposes, 80,000,000 dinars were allocated for new contracts in the Budget Fund for Forests of the Republic of Serbia in 2019, as well as 30,000,000 dinars for works contracted in the fall of 2018.

Afforestation works are subsidized up to 150,000 dinars per hectare.

The distribution of forest seedlings for afforestation to physical persons is also being financed, who take over the seedlings from the registered forest nurseries.

The value of subsidized seedlings ranges from 25,000 din/hectare to 60,000 din/hectare, depending on the type of planting material.

This year, the afforestation campaign is monitored and assisted by the Adria Media Group and the DM Drogeria Markt.

If you own the appropriate afforestation land with a minimum area of 5 acres, you are entitled to free planting material for afforestation.
