Namely, Medvedja was among the four best municipalities in Serbia in 2019, and the Ministry allocated 10,400,000 dinars for the awards, of which Medvedja received 2,600,000 dinars for financing the good practice examples in the area of efficiency called "Quality Management System in the Medvedja Municipal Administration as a Solution for Improving Efficiency and Quality of Work".

Additional funds in the amount of 3,840,000 dinars, allocated by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and from the budget of the program “Support from the Government of Switzerland to the Development of Municipalities through the Promotion of Good Governance and Social Inclusion – Swiss PRO”, will be equally distributed to the winners.

The agreement on the use of funds from the budgetary fund for the project “Digitization of the Assembly of the Municipality of Medvedja”, in the amount of 2,283,000 dinars, was also signed today. The agreement was, on behalf of the Municipality of Medvedja,  signed by the Deputy Mayor of Medvedja, Goran Ivanović.

On January 30, 2020, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government sent to the municipalities and cities a public call for proposals for projects, which would be financed, in whole or in part, from the budgetary fund for local self-governments, amounting to 520,000,000 dinars. As of this year, the Ministry, by special call for applications, also awards the annual award for the best municipal/city government in the application of the principles of good governance in 2019, as a form of financial support for the further improvement of good governance and management at the local level. A total of 198 projects were submitted to the Ministry's public call, while 38 applications were received following the call for the best municipal administration.
