As part of the project the "Future of Freedom of Information in Serbia", several sectoral studies on the transparency of the operation of public authorities have been conducted. One of them relates to the availability of information on the operation of centers for social work in the Republic of Serbia, which is available on the websites of the largest centers for social work in Serbia.

The field of social protection is very important because it is of great importance for the development of both the individual and the entire family. That is why it is important how the state organized communication with the citizens and whether it fully adjusted the mechanisms for informing them about their rights and the ways of exercising their rights.

This document is intended primarily for institutions in the social work system, in order to highlight the perceived deficiencies in the transparency of their operation, with particular reference to the information provided to the beneficiaries and with a view of improving the situation in the above mentioned areas. Also, the document is intended for other institutions whose operation influences the way of exercising the rights of the users of the services of centers for social work, as well as the citizens as users of the services of centers for social work.

The analysis was prepared by the organization called “Pravni skener” (Legal Scanner).

The “Future of Freedom of Information in Serbia” project is implemented by the Partners for Democratic Change Serbia, in partnership with the Bureau for Social Research (BIRODI) and the Legal Scanner, with financial support from the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia.
