VOLUNTEERS FROM MEDVEDJA HANDED OUT PACKAGES TO THE MOST VULNERABLE FAMILIES IN DONJI BUCUMET, GAJTAN, PETRILJ AND COKOTIN

Medvedja – Funds from the budget of the municipality of Medveđa amounting to of 900,000 dinars were used for purchasing the basic living supplies for some 500 aid packages, which are intended for the poorest category of residents in the territory of the municipality of Medvedja.

Due to the large number of calls and interest in aid packages, the Deputy Commander of the Staff, Goran Ivanovic, asks his fellow citizens for understanding and notes that the aid packages are intended for the most vulnerable or for those who have no income or are beneficiaries of the services provided by the Red Cross and the Center for Social Work.

The municipality of Medvedja coordinates a number of activities with the aim of providing daily assistance to the people who are not allowed to leave their homes and it has engaged dozens of volunteers for that purpose. Volunteers from Medvedja distributed the aid packages in the local communities of Djukelare, Donji Bucumet, Gajtan, Petrilje and Cokotin.
