Belgrade – In order to receive financial assistance from the state due to the consequences of the state of emergency and the coronavirus epidemic, businessmen need to complete a tax return and open a dedicated account.

It is necessary to indicate in the tax return the date of payment of the tax, which should be January 4, 2020, and thus the businessmen automatically apply for the financial assistance in the amount of 30,000 dinars.

The tax return that every business has to file with the Tax Administration is actually a PPP –PD form, which every company files before paying salaries.

Entitled to the payment of grants from the budget in the amount of about 30,000 dinars are the following: entrepreneurs, lump-sum entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs – farmers, entrepreneurs – other persons and legal entities classified as micro, small and medium-sized companies.

The package of measures also includes three minimum payments for all employees, which, they say, will be paid into a dedicated account and that money will be payable only to employees.

Financial support can also be used by the sole proprietors who do not have any employees, so that they are not required to submit a PPP-PD form, as they will automatically qualify for the measures.

Businesses that have been deferred from paying taxes and contributions on wages and salaries until January 4, 2021, and the contributions whose payment has been deferred in accordance with this regulation, are considered paid for the purpose of exercising entitlements under pension and disability insurance, health insurance, exercising entitlement in the case unemployment and exercising the right to financial support for families with children.

The payment starts in May and will be effected in three installments – in May, June and July, for all businesses, both small and large.

To open a special account into which funds in the amount of 30,000 dinars will be paid, businessmen who have accounts in several banks, through an application on the Tax Administration portal, must confirm by April 25 through which commercial banks they want their financial assistance to be paid.
