Novi Sad – The International Video Festival Videomedeja will be held from October 8 to 10 at several locations in Novi Sad. All fans of video art will be able to enjoy the program part of the festival, which will, this year too, feature the latest and most innovative works of art from the world of contemporary video art.

The competition is open from April 1 until June 15, 2020, while you may apply for volunteering until September 1, 2020. An artist can submit several works.

The Videomedeja Video Art Association is looking for new works of art from the following categories and audio-visual media:

Screenings: video art, short films, digital animations.

Media projects: media installations, interventions in the exhibition space, advanced technologies in art practice, interactive art in all forms and formats: robotic objects, virtual reality, net and social media projects and audio-visual performances.

The International Video Festival Videomedeja is a unique event that has been gathering important international and regional artists for 24 years, as well as those who have not had the opportunity to be visible in that field so far. So far, the festival has hosted and presented a large number of artists, curators, theorists, critics, media activists and producers, including Marina Abramovic, and has formed one of the largest archives in Europe, with over 5,000 video works from around the world.

This year, the top-quality works will be presented within the festival program, as well as within the exhibition (installation).

The importance of the festival has been recognized by many institutions, such as the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Information and Relations with Religious Communities, the City Administration for Culture of Novi Sad, as well as by numerous institutions and organizations in the country and abroad, with which a long-term cooperation has been established.

More information on the festival is available on http://videomedeja.org/
